Yea, if she didn't know you, she'd land at your feet and stand up tall and just HONK at the top of her lungs. We could totally tell the difference between her greeting someone she knew vs. a stranger. I used to love to go outside to find someone she didn't know just plastered up against the gate with her right in front of them just HONKING at the top of her lungs.

Lmao. I only have 2 chickens but I love it when they come full speed heads down dinosaur run towards me. I love the imagery of that times twenty!! I guess it would be pretty scary if you hadn't seen it before.

I think I would take pics of your goat car too. My family loves animals and cars- they would appreciate the combination

That would get me too! My friend had Gus the goose, and he was so surly. She could hug him and love on him, but if you tried to go into his yard when he was loose, you were in for trouble.
My hubs keeps trying to convince me a goose would be a good guard, but I'm a little scarred.

I think the key with the goose is to raise it from a young goose and hand feed it and hold it so it bond with you. And it will bond with more than one person. We had a big family and we were all okay in her eyes. And she even knew regular visitors. But if she didn't know you, oh boy, were you in for a treat trying to get into the gate, up the driveway to the door w/ her all over you honking.

As a side note, we would give away her eggs and quickly determined that people didn't like the taste. So since they were not going to eat them, we thought we'd have some fun. So we'd spray paint them gold and wrap them up in tissue paper and give away golden eggs as a gag.

But the funniest thing is when we got her, we already had a chicken named Saute'. So over dinner we have a family discussion to come up w/ names for the goose. I raise my hand and propose Pate'. Thinking that was simply hilarious. But I was shot down. My sister loved the song Lucy in the Sky w/ Diamonds. And thus the name Lucy stuck.

I can just see two guys decked out in manly pole-climbing gear, with tool bags strapped to them, clinging to the utility pole as the guineas and chickens circled round the base, blasting them with noise!
