I think we need to get you a movie camera, for sure. When I read this, I laughed so hard the cat got scared and jumped off me, and the dog was startled and jumped ON me. I could picture all those babies running amuck. And you sitting in ducky yucky laughing.
But you already have the babies trained to come running when you have food. Oh, my, I just thought of something- that will be fun to watch all those chicks come running at you looking for treats.
Umm actually it's kind of scary, suddenly my feet are surrounded and I can't move without the fear of stepping on someone! Someone tried re-opening the hole under the kennel from the outside,,,, almost made it too, another hour and it would have been a repeat.
Pudster met the babies tonight,, he came for his dinner and I was in the kennel bent over on my hands and knees trying to get the babies out of the big kennel with no door, into the little dog house with a door,,, puddy jumped on my back to say hi, I jumped and he fell into the mass of babies,, they thought he was a furry snack, he was not impressed. The baby pen has been empty for so long I believe the Pudster has been sleeping in that one open kennel in the straw and probably got in so late he didn't realize that in the next house, behind the door, under the blanket were a thousand little cat-eating fuzzy butted terrors. He went to the picnic table to eat his dinner,, had that look like the one where Nugget was stepping up to take his food? He just kept glaring at the pen, bet he doesn't sleep in there tonight!
Someday,, I'll have a camera,,, when my truck is paid off, feed prices go down,, my son leaves home and my favorite subject is no long available!
I would definately be afraid of stepping on all of them. It would be a bit of a heartwarming sight to see them all running toward me though. Poor Pudster.. LOL overrun by fuzzybutts. Our Bozo Fatcat, who was a totally mellow guy , would get his butt pecked by the chickens. One would run after him pecking.. poor fatcat. I don't think he appreciated that I laughed, either. I would chase the girls away from him, but would be laughing at the same time. but he only had 4 of them after him, not a thousand LOL
see, that just means you kept the baby pen empty for too long!!
It is a feel good moment, I will give it that,, actually it's more like 40 babies,, but it looks like a thousand with them all moving at once. Puddy is such a good cat, I just went out to see where he is sleeping and he is in the kennel, the babies can't get to him, but he is there. He's a good kitty.
Awww, glad to hear he is in the kennel, snug and safe from the fuzzy-butted terrors. Some animals are so amazing, the way they seem to adapt and accept anything we bring into their lives. They may give us the stink eye, but they almost understand.
And others *looking at the 4 legged obnoxiously hairy creature that is staring at me*.. well, others are just dumb
