In the Brooder
Hello,
One of my chickens was attacked by a stray dog on Friday. We found feathers everywhere and assumed she was dead. She came hobbling home the next day around noon, half plucked and limping.
We have now quarantined her, cleaned her with epsom salts and sprayed genetian violate on her bite wound. I just checked on her after work today and she is eating and drinking but will not use her one injured leg/foot. I say foot because it is slightly swollen and greeny blue in colour (chicken bruising). If it was the leg i would splint it...but what do you do with a foot? Can I do anything?
Help please & thank you.
This is my first post.
