Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

I just looked up Orpingtons because I've never had any. They look like a nice fat hearty breed. Maybe that's why you have a fat baby

Well, it's actually mixed. Mommy is a buff orpington, and daddy is a black copper marans. Orpingtons X Marans always make such cute, little babies. When they grow up, they turn into frequent layers of beautiful, chocolate colored eggs.

Oh that works! We have some Red Stars and they are our best layers. We got them early last year and they lay everyday even through the winter with no artificial lighting at all!

Red Stars are great! Mine is about a year old now, and she's all attitude. She's a great layer and bosses all the other hens around, lol.

Yeah our Red Stars are kind of the dominate breed, but our older of our two Speckled Sussex is the boss. Sussex have to be about the sweetest breed. If I sit on the stairs they come over jump up and talk to you, but when it comes to the other chickens she puts them in their place!

My sweetest hen by far is my little barnyard mix. She's blind in one eye, so she swivels her hard around a lot in the cutest way. She's then hen in my profile picture.

Sweet. :)
Our tamest sweetest is one of our Americana Chicken, we have 3 but Felicia (I call her Blondie - she's reddish blonde) was grabbed by a fox, (if we hadn't gone out when we heard her yell, she would have been a goner - fox didn't even see us at first cause it was trying to grab her!) lost half her tail feathers so in the house she came. Then she hurt her foot, in the house she came. Then my sisters dog got loose and went after her and in the house she came....She just seemed to have the worst luck! At some point I started investing in Clorox wipes and it made life easier!
Now she sits on the railing to be brought in at night and also comes to the door to come in and lay an egg - you open the door and there she is, you let her in, she waltzes in like she owns the place and hops into her box. We just have her in a cardboard box at night and she sleeps til morning. Then back out she goes!

I took a picture of the little guy, but my phone seems to be having a hard time sending it to my email.

Since the other eggs haven't even pipped, I've set him under a sweet little pullet (who, unfortunately, is inside because of a broken leg) to keep him company. She's only four months old, and is already acting like a broody hen. She's all puffed up and insists on him staying under her tummy. So cute!
