Haha, bantam babies are cute, too! And soo little! I could just eat them up.

This little one is, well, not so little at all! I'll give the other two until tomorrow to hatch. If they aren't out by then, she'll have to live with my little patient for a bit.

2 years ago my sister brought a hatching egg over so my daughter could see it hatch and gave her the baby bantam (a rooster)
Last year she did the same thing (a rooster).

This year someone gave us two white silkie hens. So we put them with one of the who knows what breed it is rooster (he's the one in my avatar).
And randomly my daughter has brought in eggs from the hens and had me put them in the incubator.

First we got a white one with feathered feet and an orange beak and black feet.
Then one that looks like a barred quail with a black tuff on his head and black beak and feet.
Then a white one and a yellow one that both have 5 toes and black beaks and feet but red combs and are getting barred wing feathers.
And lastly a totally black one...
If I didn't know they were from the same mommy and daddy I'd never believe it! They are all so different. It's like a fun science experiment!!

Yeah, you can get a lot of different colors! Especially with barnyard mixes, where you have no idea what kind of genes they carry.
