Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

Good luck and let us know what happens! I was thinking that they might be some new world quail eggs, but have you looked at other partridges' eggs? I'm not sure how many types there are.

I have no idea, either. I'm completely clueless when it comes to partridge. I didn't even know they were farmable until last night!

Luckily the internet is a wealth of information.

I'm tagging along to watch this. I'm voting Chukar too. I hatched some just over 2 wks ago and the eggs look the same. They are the sweetest little things!
oh and our guineas are beautiful!! We have 7 adults and 5 keets! So yes bias.
Good luck and let us know!

Will do!

Speaking of incubation... How long until I can candle partridge eggs?
I did it at 7 days.
But I'm a what if person. Unless I have an egg I definitely know for sure is rotting, I leave them all in there til all that could hatch do so :D
And if by some chance you do have guineas, I'd check day 10. I've often had more guinea fertile than I thought at day 7. Actually for either if you don't want to be a candling freak (I am) and be candling them forever, just do day 10.

I got antsy, and decided to candle them a few days early... we have little veins in about half of them!
This is turning into a pretty fun experiment.
