These are to delicate to ship so unless the family come here they get none.
UDDFA!!! your killing me here. now i am starved

Yep I be a male aka a rooster. Still sort of looking for the right "hen or pullet" LOL Was the oldest so got stuck helping mom in kitchen a lot. I also do home canning and pickles and sauerkraut.. Did 70 quarts of beet pickles this year. Still have wedding ring pickles from last year so didn't do any of those. Mom passed when I was 28 so I had to learn the rest If I wanted the goodies she would make. She was 52. .

bjoter kockel are dutch buter.   you mix the dough  and then roll it into wax paper and try to make a long round tube.  Slice thin and bake until edges just start to brown.  Mine are never totally round.   Pipes just froze last night.  Silly me I forgot to leave the water run last night.  UFFDA!!!     incase you were wondering  Uffda is  norske  sort of a cross between a forehead smack and a curse.    Have never heard of spanglers sound interesting thou.

Oh, they sound like the Brown-Edge cookies Nabisco used to make but discontinued. They were good. Springerles are German, thick and square, usually have a little picture of. . . different things stamped into the top. A bird is one pic that comes to mind. It`s a pale, almost white cookie, almost as high as it is wide. The bakeries here only make them at Christmas time. They`re pretty expensive even as bakery cookies go, I think. But then the ingredients to do it yourself were giving me sticker shock the year I thought I`d do them, so I guess the bakery has to make its money. I usually get some for myself because, hey, the rest of the family just doesn`t appreciate them the way I do. That`s my story and I`m sticking to it! Haven`t actually found any yet this year. Must look. Have been busy.

Oh frell, look at the time! Good night, All!

oh, so young. im sorry. i am glad that you carry on her cooking skills. you are never going to find a woman in N. dakota if they have to keep their faces covered all the time from the cold

sounds like a short bread and if so they take lots and lots of butter. could also be why they are pricey. I hate store bought baked stuff my self and don't even use cake mixes. All from scratch for me. Could be why I got through about 100 pounds of butter a year.

Thank you and there are some women up here. but friends tell me I am to set in my ways. Shoot I'm only 50. way to young to be set in my ways LOL Although with this oil boom the ratio of men to women is about 120 men for every woman.

Bummer. That`s too young.

So how did such an eligible, USEful, skilled rooster manage not to find a good pullet? You COOK! You BAKE! You`re a catch! Do they not know what a treasure you are? LOL
