If they are older than a few days when you get them it is very likely that they have already imprinted on something else, even though you are their new owner. I heard that waterfowl need to imprint within a few days. I'm no expert, just what I've heard. Also, if you have raised them with other poultry like chickens it is likely that they have imprinted on their broodmates, not you. That happened with my first duck, Paul because I raised him with the chickens. He was always friendly enough but he stuck close to them. I think it also helps when you have an extra small number, like I only have 2 girls. ducky219502, it sounds like they are pretty friendly with you if they nap with ya!
