they called from the hatchery and said they had a problem with the incubators for my hatch date, so my turkeys are going to be 2 weeks late

BUT, i have 4 silkies and 4 mixed bantams just hatched out in the last 3 days. (edited) ( I also have 46 eggs in the incubator and waiting on 25 buckeye day-olds.)

This is my first time ordering chicks and I ordered from Meyers. They are about 3 hours away from me. I went ahead and paid for express shipping so that I can have a tracking number on them. Ive read to many stories about chicks being out there for 3 and 4 days. I ordered:
2 Ameraucana: 2 RI Reds: 2 Silver laced wyandottes and 1 male silver laced wyandotte. They did not have the Buff Orpingtons or the Black Australorps so I will get them from my local feed store. The feed store orders their chicks from Mt Healthy. I will pick up the buffs and black aussies 2 weeks after my first chicks come in. I will post some pics when they get here.
I have my brooder all set up and ready to go.

PO called this am and said chicks will be delivered at 9:00 am (ish). Am here waiting anxiously for the bell to ring!

Soon as i get beaks dipped in water and food, i'll post picks if. the camera batteries hold up! Always a challenge in a household with 2 boys with lots of toys..

I have a bucnh in the brooder right now. I've sold 8 chicks of that shipment already though, theyre some place else in someone elses brooder.

I am brooding these for pullet customers. I only have 2 ameraucana and 3 black australorps in this bunch that are mine.

I have a new order coming from privetthatchery.com (theyre a wonderful lot to work with btw) on the 27th.

I got 5 ameraucana
5 maran
5 light brahma
5 buff orpington
and 5 speckled sussex.

i also got a black orpington roo and a duck of their choice.

I hatched 30+ in the incubator the past couple of weks. Today I took six chicks from under a setting hen and replaced them with eight more eggs. Two days ago got five chicks from another hen and did the same with her.

My game hen is hatching 5 eggs today I bet $100 they would all hatch and we won't check till tomorrow I can't sleep help!
