Dominate white can, but these arent.
I did run a calculation for white over gold and they did come out black on the chicken calculator, but we are still wondering about the black legs and beak??

We don't know what happened there Tommy, when the first on hatched Aubrey said it would have been a mix up from one of his project d'Anver eggs, he said he set 2 phoenix eggs and 1 dAnver egg down, and the dAnver egg rolled over with the phoenix eggs so it was a guess as to which one it was though, but he said that was only one egg, but I ended up hatching two black ones, both have single combs and no beards ( dAnvers have rose combs and do have beards, so that pretty much rules them out) and they have black leggs and beaks, the other phoenix have lighter legs and feet. So we don't know what happen, in his breeding pen, he has 2 roos that are genetically silver, but masked by white, ( they look solid white), and he as white, silver, and golden hens all together with those 2 roos, we don't know which hens were laying at the time, they had just recently started.

So I don't know, this is interesting and I'll be sure to keep you guys posted.

BTW, Toni-Marie said she has Blue Phoenix so black would also have to be possible, just maybe not recognized yet.

Later

Actually there is Blue & black phoenix, it is called Blue. sooooo beautiful. i need to get my hands on that.
