I have hatched chicks that color they will most likely be pullets in the brown red color, comes from the gold side since gold is a dilute of the Black breasted red you can occasionally see the brown red pullets hatch out I haven't seen any cockerals hatch this color.

Hey Napalontails,
I assume you are referring to the ones RAREROO posted?
That's good to know if so, we were both curious as to what they were. I just got 1 today as well out of this pen. Sounds like the 2 gold hens are laying then! They are bred to a white pair of cock birds that are out of silver birds, would all their offspring be expected to be this color, or is it just an occasional thing?
Brown red sounds about right, mine is very dark, but not black has a lot of reddish tint to the black fuzz....

That's what I've been thinking too, Aren't Kelso Games the brown red color? These look like Black Sexlink pullets so I fugured they will end up being the brown red color like the Black Sexlink hens.

Aubrey, does yours have black legs and beaks too?

Hello, just wanted to share with you guys, we brought our 2 phoenix roo to a poultry show today, and i got interviewed by a tv show called - the secret life about animals, while i was holding my gold duckwing phoenix, they had me show his earlobes tail and wing, and ask me quistions, i have to call the tv station to find out when it will be aired, it was soooo awsome.
