Post Phoenix Pics Please

I have a golden or two out of a batch with just slight barring on their saddles - they resulted from the silver I mentioned earlier with the lemon cuckoo like back onto a bb red hen.

Yeah, I crossed the black rooster mentioned above with white bantams again and got some whites, more cockerels like him and pullets that are black with silver/gold hackles. I can't wait to hatch out a brother/sister mating of them. I am using one cockerel that looks exactly like the father with two pullets with pretty nice tails. I would like to do in the range of 20-40 due to all the other birds and animals I am doing or else I would do more.

Wow, that's quite a few generations. Cy has been working on blue bantams, I believe he is probably on the 12-15 generation of back-crossing onto his white bantam pullets.

I got a rooster from him a year ago that came from one of his self-blue bantams on a white bantam pullet, and the rooster turned out black with silver hackles and golden saddles, with a strip of black down the center, much like the rooster in the black phoenix project posted a few posts back - any idea genetically what happened there?

do you have any pics of him?

I'll try and take some and get them on tomorrow or the day after . . .

ok. cant wait to see his colors. he sounds very handsome

if you look up at the top were the list of pages are (index, user list, ect) there is one that says uploads. you click on that one and it opens in a different tab for me. then you would click on the browse button on that page and then select your photo and hit submit. after its been loaded use the 2nd link for the pic (image link), copy and paste the link in a post.

same here Toni,
Will upload anything for you.
Dug around and found how to do it without the Photobucket deal though.

At the top of any page on here in the top tool bar look for UPLOAD
Click it , then click browse

Pull up the pic you want to use and upload it, then it gives you a HTML image code

Copy and paste that in the post

yes, I got one of those off him. Been using him as a project bird. If I remember right, it's been a year for me too,
He yes is a side effect of his lavender project. He he said they had been crossed back to his white, which I'm pretty sure carried silver duckwing.
His hens all come clean black, but the males he said always end up like this.

He sent me this one just to see what I could make of them seeing how I had a couple dun hens to use.

Here's what I got from him, sounds similar to the one you got

He's pretty much a gold birchen of sorts
