Post Phoenix Pics Please

well you know my feelings on anything LG

But take them both out and let them sit at room temp for a while. You know what you have your house set at. Go with which ever one is closest to your house setting.

I would say the LG is the one off. Would also explain why you werent getting good end results in your hatch.
Thanks for all your input :)
That is true, I will try that in a sec and let you know

However the LG does fluctuate a lot according to the KTJ thermometer...
I might just have to by myself a little Hovabator

Aubrey, thought I would post some pics of the Phoenix chicks out of the Schubert's line. They are all mixed in together BBR, golden and blue golden(?). I have to say tho, my friend has been using an LG with all the eggs I've gotten from you, only 1 phoenix and 3 d'anver's didn't hatch. I think she has a magical touch ;)

How do they look so far?

I love my LG, but I never use it this late in the season. I like to use it when we still have heat on in the house because it's pretty much the same. The key with them is to place it somewhere where the external temp stays fairly the same. Where is yours now?

Looking graet so far! Wondering if that one up front with the dark legs is going to be a fibro phoenix. There is a beautufl firbo hen in that pen. Hatched off a good many from her so far this year.

Have to say, you are the first 2 I have ever heard say anything good about the LG's haha.
I had that one and it stays in my spare room ( the biddy room is what we call it) keep the house at 75 this time of year and it still would go from 95-110 threw a cycle. Couldnt ever get it to balance out. But hey if you got a good one, that's great, they seem to be few and far between, just look around BYC at the post about them lol

What is fibro phoenix? I think I have a couple with the darker legs.
My friend that is also named Melissa, to make it more confusing, has 2 LG's (mine and hers) set up at her house. I believe the only reason she is so good at it is she is a stay at home Mom and is constantly checking temp and humidity level. We realize we need something better but after then next eggs are set we will probably be done for the season and will hopefully get a hova before next year.

Fibro is short for fibro melanistic, in laymans terms, black skinned. They are something Toni-Marie bred into a lot of her birds, really looks great on them to me.

It's the same thing birds like silkies have if that makes it easier to understand
