Sit pretty? LOL that is so cute!

I know it sounds silly but they do "strike a pose" for a nice garden treat or big juicy grasshopper

LOL

*I wanted to add: I have eggs running out my ears if anyone is interested in the bantam variety. I posted pics of a few several pages back, but have lots of colors, and a gorgeous white girl from Aubrey how is producing super chicks. I think he would attest the quality and type I raise, wont you BBB

Yep, of all the different bantam breeds I have or have keep, all the phoenix type birds are by far the tames and most human friendly. Like I said a few post back, have one hen that will roost on my shoulder everytime I go in her pen. These types of birds in general have had some much human interaction of their existence, that it just comes very natural.
As for health and vigor, phoenix are no different than any other chicken, as long as cared for properly, kept, dry, clean and good food and water, they can live a very long time, and are fairly disease resistant.

GypsyChic, what color bantams do you have laying right now? I may be interested in some myself from good lines if it's in colors I need.

Not sure if you'd be interested or not Aubrey as my flock is all in together. Whites, blacks, bbr's, bb, gold, silver and blues. Coming up with new colors is hard when your limited on bloodlines

so, I decided to put all of mine together, hatch some chicks and see what I get. I'll post pics of results. Let me know

My exp is, other than a nice tall perch, decent amount of clean space and good nutrition, nothing really. But that's just ME.

Tall perch. A clean pen that would hold mud when it rains, the mud sticks to the tails and can make them break off. Have very few pen mates, the other birds in the pen can step on the tails and break them off. And good protein feed.

How large of a pen and are these teen or adult roos??? I dont advise just throwing 3 unrelated or unfamiliar (i should say) roos into a single pen. They need to aquaint themselves (even without hens) to adjust in a single enclosure. Have they been raised together or ???
