Lildinkem, I PM'd you. I don't know that I could tell a decent orp from a poor one, but I'm hoping that maybe you can help me anyway.
I am really appreciating all the lovely pictures in this thread so far though. I'm still trying to figure out what breeds I want and so far Orps are pretty high on my list. I've heard almost nothing but good things about their personalities and I'm enjoying learning about all of the colors and projects there are with this breed.
Hey Gabe, I just PM'd back. Not as easy as one would think to know all that goes into making good quality Buffs. I was very happy to show JeRONimo's new mommy virtually no white shafting in the wing feathers and he looked nicer, to me the day he left, then any time before. Despite the bigtime givers away regrets,, I have reloaded on the RON line with about 8 young men from Jerry and his sis's. 2 or 3 are just now looking decent in type. But I truelly am rolling the dice by letting him go. I physically do not need 4 Buff Orp cocks. Placed a very nice young Buff last week to another wonderfully nice lady that was 1/2 AKERS and 1/2 Vermazen. He was a bit too small, and I have Tonka and Thurston. About $250 invested into those two. Still yet to hatch out from Hank, Jerry's half bro. Alot of moving nice Buffs to other folks to play with here.
