My latest strange egg, not sure what caused this pattern..

@goodb , I get a lot of those eggs from one (maybe more) of my Australorp hens. They're all over a year old. I don't know what causes them to be that way, but I like the sun pattern on them.

I poked it with a knife over the bowl and it popped kind of like a water balloon. The yolk and whites went into the bowl and the shell (membrane?) just collapsed

You shouldn't eat these eggs because the shell keeps out bacteria and without it it could carry something bad.

Eh, we're still alive. ;-) I figure as long as they are cooked through we're good.

If it does look or smell good then ya.
