post your chicken coop pictures here!

I wish this were true... We certainly aren't the greatest builders. If IKEA put out a coop we could probably do a pretty decent job, but I'm a little (okay more than a little) intimated by the thought of trying to create something from scratch. LOVE the camper!!!! I wish we had an old camper lying around!

if you see one that looks like its not being used in someones yard stop and ask about it, that is how we got one of ours, just cleaned everything but elec out, it is isulated so they have warm, we just went out and they are all fine.

I am trying to convince my husband to turn the camper we bought from a friend into a coop. Only cost $150 bucks. It's a smaller pull behind type . Rather old maybe like early 80s. He wants to just put it in our woods for anytime somebody say " I want to go camping" they can use it.

that would be a good coop, tell him chickens are first, if they want to camp give them a tent and tell them to go for it, lol just leave elec in so you can turn light on or even but a warmer for water, also if it has tile on floor leave it there, that cleans good and you could hose it down. we made mistake of taken it out now we wish we left it down.

I have a multiple coop question. If I had two coops can they the chickens from the two coops use the same run?

why not then, they could go to watch one they would like. you could use one for just roost and the other one for eggs. you could even move them side by side and put door opener that way you end up with a larger coop or just use one for them to eat in, there are many ways to use both of them, as long as they are not peeps in one you can let them run together.

Great !! I must say I caught the chicken fever. It's settled then. I will use the camper as another coop!! I will just pull it up to the other end of my existing run !!! That way my dh can't complain about having to build another run for the new camper coop. Yeah!!! So excited now spring hurry up!!

Sure, you could even split the run temporarily until the new chickens are acclimated their coop and to the old chickens, then take the split down....or leave it up.
