Only other things I want to do are a wind chime on the door-side front corner, and a bird feeder on the other corner. Oh and handles for the doors. But I can do those without bugging hubby, hehe. :)

The coopy you built is EXACTLY what I'd like to do! Did you buy plans, design your own?? Absolutely perfect!

Aww thanks!! No plans, just looked at TONS of pictures online and picked features we liked. Hubby and his boss put the frame together in pieces and then he brought it all home and we did the rest. I did all the painting, he did the building. We knew how we wanted the inside already. He's good at building on the fly... I have to have specific instructions on which screw goes where & why! LOL!!

Feel free to copy it if you want! :)

Thanks :) Mine are 2x2, same as I had in my old coop. I knew it was small compared to others but they seem to like it.

Edit: I hope it's ok to stay with what they like? Does it hurt anything being narrow?

BRAHAhahahaha!! done with every detail!!

Weren't you building something in a barn or lean to?...might have you confused with someone else.

Course you know you might need more coop ventilation in GA in the summer...and that chicken wire is not predator proof-double latch pop door?

Now aart, let's be positive here! Haha I mean, every detail as far as what I want for NOW. ;)

And yes, that was my "emergency quick set-up" for after dogs killed my flock several months back. This, is hubby's answer to getting his lean-to back. :/

Ventilation should be ok because that area is totally shaded in summer (but I will sure fix it if not).. That's why I picked this spot.

And as far as the wire, I know it's not predator-proof but it's what I get/what we could afford for now. Pop door, I petitioned for but hubby argued that many he sees don't have one (an he's right)?so I rested my case/picked my battle. If/when we have a slip-up I'll just take the told-ya-so route.

However, with the design of the ventilation, a pop door would be a moot point at this particular juncture, anyway. Honestly the ONLY problem we have around here so far is dogs, and they're not that persistent to break through wire **so far**.
