I must admit to being, literally, the crazy chicken lady....every night right at dark I walk out to the coop/run. There they are, all four of them lined up against the hardware cloth in the run, waiting for 'mama' toput them to bed. As I walk past them I always say "okay, girls, time for bed!", I open up the coop door and close it behind me, turn the light on and in they pop! Talking and bwoking away, looking up at me...no kidding! I pick each one up and put them on the roost. Once settled in I pet them and love on each of them, reach up and as I turn off the light I say "goodnight!"Hopefully they use it. First night in coop they perched on ramp up to board. Well see tonight!

My daughter and I are new to this hobby and it's been a lot of fun so far. Quality time for sure! This is our coop, pallet wood for the barn look. Have already made a few modifications to make it more chicken friendly and the new tenants seem to like it ok.. First egg was yeasterday morning!
