post your chicken coop pictures here!

Thank you! I have until June to get everything set up, but I don't want to wait until the last minute!

Aww yeah, I bought some stuff so early haha the funny part was when the chicks arrived a day earlier I had NOTHING prepared, no brooder even, even though I had over a month to do it  i was dumb like that, don't be like me ha

And went overboard with pictures. Sorry.

We have weasels here so I think I'll still have to stick with hardware mesh no matter how high I go with a wood fence... little buggers. But being able to use wood as a 2 ft 'fence, will keep my cost for the mesh in half (I would have to buy a whole new package and only use 10 ft). I live in Central Canada, not too rainy but yeah, the wood will eventually rot, so I'll have to keep an eye on that.
Might as well order that roll. sooner or later you'll want to do another coop, or you might need to do an emergency repair.

Can you show me a picture? I'm new at all of this so I'm still learning!

The above shots show the heater unit for winter time to keep them from freezing. The bricks at the bottom are heat sinks to help hold the heat in as well as to keep the heating element off the bottom. Don't want it melting... I take the bricks out when the heaters come out. No sense wasting water space in the bucket.

Here it was when initially done. Notice no hole in the cover yet. I use the covers year round as there are always birds that will perch on top of the bucket and it keeps the water cleaner. I suspended mine from the ceiling, but you can rest it on a cinder block as well. With it hanging, it frees up floor space and I can move it up and down to suit the size bird in that enclosure. You'll need one nipple for about 3-4 birds. I have 2-3 nipples in each 5 gallon bucket.

I use a 5 gallon bucket with horizontal poultry watering nipples on the sides and it works out great! They leak and freeze less than vertical and you can out the bucket anywhere since the nipples aren't hanging on the bottom like the vertical. It's also a lot cheaper than the Brite Tap system.

I personally went with a 55 gallon drum...
