Well, it's official. I'm not sure what is officially official, but I just hatched a BROWN chick, to go along with all those taupy looking chicks. here it is. thank goodness there's a blue and black in there for comparision, plus my millie chick.






While I was watching my chicks, I realized I have no idea what genes the serama roos are carrying. Here are the daddys, could be either one

No, that color almost looks Blue Wheaten, IMO.

I know the Dun gene came out of my breeding a Buff Orp to a Meyer hatchery mutt Black. Because of that breeding I have had Bantams like my Dun pullet, Rosecomb Cuckoos, a Rumpless Black Orp banty pullet, Silver Duckwing, Spangles, Dun Birchen. And on and on and on. Who knows what will be the next big thing to pop out.
