We got 2 Cayugas yesterday. They are called Morticia Flapems (because she reminds me of Morticia Adaams with her long black dress ) and Cleoquacktra

They're a bit skittish about photos yet, but here's one showing off their pretty colours

Cayuga is "Zurkzees" Family Guy Peter Griffin's Falcon!

Dad takes care of them and I already feel bad for the little guy's/gal's because I'm sure they hate their names! :/

Nah, you shouldn't feel bad, those are great duck names!

Mine are:

Zola- Cayuga duck means duck in Mohawk
Dawn- "donn"- Buff duck means duck in Galic
Star- Black Swedish
Frodo- Crested Peking- short for "fro duck" (hubby named that one)

And then the six welsh harlequin that I can't tell apart

Their will be 2 females named Bee and Cecil and a male named Charlie....the others, unless I magically end up with more females the rest will be named "dinner"

The one my husband named: Buzz
The ones my kids named: Cute (yup, a drake named Cute), Pretty

The "prenamed" rescues: Lily, Sanders, Sarah

Good thing they are ducks and don't care

Most of mine have boy names and are girls. I think it is great to let kids name pets. My 4 year old named all of mine after Paw Patrol, lol.

I think I might wind up settling on "Harley Quinn" for my little Welsh Harlequin. She's little and feisty. Plus, it's much better than "Derpy", which is the name my friend keeps trying to stick to her.

Still no names for the rest of the bunch. They'll come to me.

I have one drake (Doc Seuss) and 4 girls ( Daisy, Daphne, Dolly and Della). Daisy and Daphne are currently sitting on eggs. Daphne helps out occasionally since it it still pretty cold here. Babies are arriving. I can hear them, but can't see. I like to name my ducks starting with D. Any suggestions?

My little girls have all been named now:

Harley Quinn - Welsh Harlequin
Pepper - Cayuga
Mocha - Khaki Campbell
Abba - Blue Swedish

I came up with the first three, hubby came up with Abba (after the Swedish band from the 70's). His is much more original than mine, but their names all fit them really well.

Plus, we have the adult Rouen (not Mallard) girls named Peek and Poke.
