This is our first egg and i know this thread is about showin off yer FIRST egg.

But, i wanted to show off my pretty wife Janet so y'all gotta put up with seein our 2nd egg also.

'sides, our girls are actually hers and you guys only hear from me here so far and i don't want y'al thinkin that there aint no Janet in JimnJanet

I got no clue what kind o' birds we got. Our breeder told us they are mutts.Here's what they look like, anyone know what kind ? One o' our girls, Stella, (notshown) is all black with a gold head and neck.

Ok, I finally got the pic of the 3 eggs uploaded to photobucket and am uploading it here now. The egg on the far right was layed by this hen and the 2 on the left I am guessing are from 2 of my Phoenix hens.

I got 2 more eggs today. 1 from my RIR in this picture and another Phoenix egg.

Wha Hoo I'm getting eggs now!!!!!

Aw, I lost my *first egg* images when my computer crashed awhile back. So I've none to share but boy I do remember being sooooo eggcited the first time I caught glimpse of that little white egg. My head was in the clouds the rest of the day!

Here is a pic that is actually a bunch of my first eggs. I just couldn't stand the thought of breaking them to eat, so I poked holes in them, hollowed them out, and kept the shells in this basket on my kitchen counter. We got to eat our delicious eggs and I still got to keep them. Everyone happy.

Not to mention they make an adorable addition to my kitchen.

It's, it's......PERFECT!!! I can't get over it! Perfectly formed and colored, laid right in the nest box just the way it should be. I could just burst with pride.

The shell is quite thick and hard, too - amazing!
