Premade Duck House?

The one with osb will need more maintenance (really good paint touched up yearly) unless you add siding to it as the osb is not meant to be used directly outside. It will break down sooner.
For what your needs are, either will work.

I think either will work just fine! They have big enough doors ducks can get in easy, they have small enough step ups that you won't need ramps! Just think about ventilation, a door that closes, and if you want some sort of human hatch to be able to collect eggs and/or clean more easily. You won't want to crawl in every day to look for eggs. Maybe you will be able to hinge part of the roof.

I wound up having some rude interactions with the sellers of the other two houses :( But we did manage to find this very sturdy and old dog house for free from a very nice couple with chickens and ducks of their own! They even drove it over in their truck and helped us unload it.

So this is my project! I took off the roof today and I'm going to make a trip out for fresh pieces of wood for both the interior, bottom, and roofing. The plan is to cut ventilation on each side and add hardware cloth. I'd also like to make the roof removable like some of you mentioned. Trying to figure out what I should do with the door though...

I would just build a door. Ours was not hard to build!! That looks like a nice cute little house! When you finish...post pics!

Probably could use a new roof. I would make it so that you can access inside to clean (if it isn't already set up like that). I like the colors. I have seen duck doors where the hinge is on the bottom and it folds down to make a ramp of sorts.
