@Overo Mare you know that you're one of my favorite people here. What am I going to call you once you are a "Duck Person"? It's going to be difficult to not automatically think "Cochin Queen" whenever I think about you.

Runners are so adorable! I’m not sure. I’d assume it wouldn’t be a good idea since calls are so tiny and fragile. I’ve just kept the calls by themselves. I’d be worried about one getting stepped on by accident.I forgot about Runners! I NEED some bowling pins with feet in my life. It's probably not safe to keep Runners with Calls though, right?

Y'all, I am ridiculously in love! Seriously, my heart swelled a bit admiring these beauties! Oh my goodness! Their cuteness is too much!Well here’s some photos of my calls (the parents of these eggs)
These eggs are all either from my snowy or my grey call hens
For colors I have blue fawn, blue fawn pied,
snowy, grey, white, pastel, and black bibbed.
so I’m guessing these ducklings could be blue fawn, grey, black bibbed, pied, or blue fawn pied. Is this right?
That's my concern. Maybe just maybe I can integrate future Runners with my current flock of Pekins, a Buff, and a Cayuga. If not, I'll work it out and just have multiple flocks. A precious Call getting trampled would be so traumatic and heart breakingRunners are so adorable! I’m not sure. I’d assume it wouldn’t be a good idea since calls are so tiny and fragile. Thank you so much! I love them dearly!Y'all, I am ridiculously in love! Seriously, my heart swelled a bit admiring these beauties! Oh my goodness! Their cuteness is too much!
Sorry I didn’t specify. I was meaning as ducklings. As adults I keep mine with larger ducks without problems but do house them separately at night. I have a runner mix and pekins that get along great with then. one thing I’d be wary of though is full sized drakes injuring a call hen. My drake shows no interest in my calls thankfully. Yep.This is the place you're talking about? I could easily fix that if so. Definitely don't want meat grinded babies.

The cheap Dollar store kind of shelf liner with the bigger holes.Yep.
I bet you could fix a piece of shelf liner over that with a rubber band or something before they hatch.
I know exactly what you're talking about. The cheap Dollar store kind of shelf liner with the bigger holes.
