Preparing to set call and pekin duck eggs! Hatch day should be March 4, 2021 if all goes well!

Thanks I might try a small drop of nutridrench later. He took a long time to hatch and absorb so I think he might be exhausted. I was scared to give nutridrench because he can’t really support his little neck. I’ll be extremely careful not to aspirate him.
Don't Force It into his mouth or anything. Just get a drop on your finger and rub it down the side of its bill. Most of the time they will go ahead and kind of make that chewing motion and swallow some of it.

I think he might have wry neck. If you’re not busy @Isaac 0 can you help?

As Shaw suggested, I would also try to get a poultry vitamin or even an electrolyte such as Gatorade into its system to correct any electrolyte/fluid imbalance correlated with lack of absorption of the yolk sac, or the prolonged hatch.

Since ducklings lack peristalsis and the proper motion to swallow and aspirate easily, I would either drip a tiny drop alongside its bill or soak a cotton swab in the mixture and wipe it along with the duckling's bill. After doing that, hopefully, you'll see some improvement in its condition.

Cotton swab is a good idea.
I always end up getting that smelly stuff all over me when I do that. 🤣

Thanks both of you for the help! I really appreciate it. I will try a drop of nutridrench on the side of its bill. :)

No guarantees of course but that stuff can really be like a miracle when given straight.
I had two that were stargazing when they hatched last year and after getting that down them they straightened right up. I couldn't believe it.

Of course, I understand. I’m hoping this little fella will make it. 🤗 :fl

Good luck!
With the Nurtidrench, I lift the stopper and wipe my finger on the tube, then wipe the side of the ducks bill. You also want to follow up with clear water if you get some ND in him. I usually dip the same finger in water, wipe it on the bill too, then one more time. So kinda like full strength ND, watered down ND, then clear water. :p

Thanks! I really appreciate the advice! Hope this baby pulls through! 🤗
