That's how I'm feeling. I just hate breaking my daughter's heart and to be honest, I'd love to have more too, but I'm hoping to purchase more eggs from stock that I know are well taken care of and really nice ducks, even though time is running out this year. On the bright side, my daughter was able to get our little Snowy to quack last night! Lylah is very special to my daughter.

Side note @Conan i wish you weren't on the other side of the country or I'd be asking if you were selling any eggs! Seems like a long trip to NC for Calls.

The eggs are from my friend that took in my little flock last year. I am building a new flock this year. Adding some genetic diversity for hopefully higher fertility, and hatch rates.
Last year, I had 100% fertility and hatch rate in my incubator. This year... under 50%. Not acceptable! Mixing babies from 3 different sources to help mitigate that. I'd be happy to ship eggs to you next season.

@FunnyfarmMidwest how old are they now? I LOVE the pictures so much. So even Calls grow quickly but then just fill in as they approach adulthood? I'm still amazed on a daily basis at their growth. Of course they're still small but the daily changes are crazy! Well, on most ducklings. Bobbles has his very own growth curve but it does look like he is finally growing a little bit

They just turned 8 weeks today. Aww thanks so much! I love admiring them! Yes, they grow fairly fast then fill in as they get older. Yes, they look so different every day!
He certainly does have his own growth curve! He is so little still! He is just a tiny bit bigger than the 4 week old... he is six weeks. But I’m still so surprised to see him change every day!
