Preparing to set call and pekin duck eggs! Hatch day should be March 4, 2021 if all goes well!

In that video, she's basically just holding it out like that to show you where the wrap goes.
You don't need to really extend the wing out to do it.
All you need to do is get a piece of the wrap around the flights first, then back around the whole Wing to hold the flights under.
However you can accomplish this is fine. The problem with not going around the flights first and then back around the wing..
Is that when they wiggle around they can get those flights back on top of the wing instead of tucked under. It's very hard to explain in words, I hope that makes sense.
Definitely makes sense. One of the times I wrapped, I don't think I wrapped tight enough or well enough because Maggie was able to get her flight feathers back on top. Strangely enough, she was able to fidget enough to get them back into proper placement. This latest wrap seems to be more secure as I've not noticed any self adjustments. It was done the night before last. I was planning on removing the wrap (tape) after 4 days, so this is halfway. Luckily her flight feathers are white so that makes a quick visual easy. As long as I only see white wing feather tips behind her black feathers, she's in proper placement. I'll get a picture of her wing once I'm finished with work

I just found pics of when I taped Phoenix’s wing. I admit I didn’t watch any of those videos, so this is just how I do it. I gently folded the part that was sticking out, back where it belongs, and just tape the wing itself

How’s your little one doing @WVduckchick ? Have you made progress with the eye?

A little progress, she’s doing good. I actually took her to work with me today so I could keep the eyelid moistened all day. I have been able to get part of it detached from the mass. She is fighting me a little more now, it must be getting sore and she is tired of me messing with her.
Probably won’t get to make much more progress this evening though, we are babysitting the 2-year old grandkids. :p

That’s great news! I’m glad to hear this. Bet she was a fun work buddy. :love

Have fun with your grandkids! Hope the little one keeps making progress. :fl

Sounds like she's doing well. I know you are going about this carefully, but I'm curious to find out how attached this little one becomes to you, you to her, or more than likely both 💜 Continued prayers for your precious little duckling. Have you started her on antibiotics? That's always a tough one for me. I don't mind using antibiotics if necessary, but I don't like to use them
