Preparing to set call and pekin duck eggs! Hatch day should be March 4, 2021 if all goes well!

Look at what they are calling a light buff.
That almost looks more like mine.
I wonder what combination makes a buff.
Ohhhh @Pyxis

Buff makes buff :P It's its own gene. Now, Buff Orpington ducks are a combo of Buff gene, Chocolate, Dusky, and Silver.

This explains my Buff Orp Ducks new look! She molted recently and I've been wondering why she has some smoky looking flight feathers. So exotic looking 💜

@HeatherKellyB thanks for asking. She is acting normal and no longer open bill breathing; however, she is still doing the squeaking noise. I’m wondering if it’s a cough. 🤔
I wonder if she aspirated? You might want to call your vet for that antibiotic.

So yeah. There's no way my "pastels" are buff then. They are just not pure up to standard color wise. It's just always been baffling because my very first pastel was hatched from what appeared to be a blue fawn Drake and
Gray hen. I had no other ducks and the previous owners had no other ducks.

I am definitely going to call him in the morning but am unsure what antibiotic I need for her. Maybe he will be able to take a look and figure it out even though he doesn’t have much experience with ducks. 🤔
