Problems with Township!...

Hi,

I know what you mean, despite the fact that I'm 6'4" and 22lbs., I talk to my chicks all the time. In the morning, I'll go into my kitchen, (where at three weeks, they're still in a big freezer box that I've reinforced with a hardboard bottom, and 1" x 2"s all around.) I'll talk to them, and say stupid stuff like "Good morning, chick-chicks, how are my babies today? Are you ready for some breakfast? Daddy loves his chick-chicks..." If any of my old Navy buddies heard that, I'd never hear the end of it!

Paul, I think if some of your buddies had the chance, they'd be sweet talking your chicks too. Animals are so therapeutic I'm surprised doctors don't write prescriptions to have them.

Good luck with your chickens and good for you for not backing down to a pain-in-the-butt neighbor or the township! Sometimes it feels so good to just put your foot down! And I agree, my birds helped me when I was diagnosed with postpartum depression when happy pills could not. They are the best cure there is! Stay strong.
