Give him/her time. My three Toulouse were 4 months old when I got them and they came from a drop-shipper that did not have the best of knowledge of proper goose care and hygiene. The smelled really bad and had feathers picked or rubbed off of their backs. All it takes is TLC, a good diet, a safe home and fresh air.
How are they doing? looks like they are close to same size. I'll let someone else say about sex, I'm not very good at it especially when they are young. Once they are adult It get easier because of their actions and how they carry themselves.
