Proper way to say Marans?

This may not be a thing, but I though I would ask. Is it said "mare-ans" or "ma-rans"? Do you say the S? Do you do the French thing and roll the R?

Yes I just heard someone recently say Mare-in and I thought they were a weirdo, but it's not like I'm saying it right (the French way) either.

According to the other thread, Ma-rahn is the proper way. Silent S and I think the break between the a and r is guttural or rolled, I'm not sure which.
