Puffed Up Laying Soft Eggs

Tuesday Hen Did Not Lay An Egg. When She Went Into To Roost For The Night She Was Puffed Up. Next Morning Hen Layed Egg Under Roost (usually In Laying Box) But Has A Bulls Eye Pattern On Shell (usually Brown). Last Night I Had A Hawk Above The Coop. Chickens Were Already In Side Fence. Hen Again Puffed Up And Sitting In Laying Box And Lays Soft Shell Egg Again But This Time She Was Eating It. This Morning Again, Soft Shell Egg. We Have Had Change In Weather Hot To Cold. Hawk Scarring Her Have Anything To Do With This? Why Soft Shell All Of A Sudden. Giving Oyster Shell And Layer Pellets. Just Have Two Hens And They Are Very Well Cared For? Help..

The weather change and/or hawk might cause the soft shelled egg. Any disturbance ca potentially effect laying.

I wouldn't worry too much unless it continues.
