Pullet gasping for air! Please help!!

I really suspect it's respiratory and possibly some coccidia.

I would get some antibiotics in her fast.

I would treat with Tylan or baytril. Tylan is usually (well, sometimes) available at Tractor Supply and baytril (enrofloxicin) is also great (although hard to get without a prescription).

If it were me, I would locate one of these antibiotics and a 1 cc syringe (for Tylan you'll need a syringe with a needle.)

With Tylan, I would inject the meds right into the breast muscle twice a day for 5 days.

For cocci, give corid in water!

That's available at feed stores/ sometimes tractor supply as well.

Don't skip treating the cocci as it can kill just as quickly as respiratory diseases.

I would probably give her a corid drench to start.

Thank you! The feed store says it's for cattle, is that still okay?

I really appreciate the help.

Thank you, I will do that. Is it safe to put in my other chickens water too? In case they have it?

Yes! Also grab some Corid. You may be dealing with cocci.

Its best that you treat your whole flock for coccidosis. You are going to use 1.5 tsp of corid powder, add it to 1 gallon of water, make a new batch every day for 5-7 days. Make the corid water the only water they have access to. Your also going to want to give the 1ML injection of Tylan twice a day to your sickly bird.

Thank you so much.
