Hi All,
We have two golden laced Wyandotte’s who are just shy of 4 months old. I noticed they have two very different combs and it caused me to be concerned if one is a cockerel or both Pullets . They were suppose to be pre sexed but you know how that goes!

I have wyandotte/game cross, the chicks are solid black, they have rose combs that are wide but black also, only a little red. They are 7 weeks old, having a hard time determining sex, is it still a little early? Would comb be wide and thick if it was a pullet?

We’d have to see pictures to tell for sure, but seven weeks is a good time to sex them. Wyandottes do tend to redden up early, so there are some false alarms.
