So I crossed a lavender Ameraucana rooster which has the black gene over a cream legbar which we all know was made using barred rock, to what percentage I have now ideal - all my babies that just hatched are looking like little barred rocks? You think this means all male? I hatched 11 babies

First off I have neither of these birds but I would love to. I'm assuming crossing the English orpington lavender roo with a barred rock hen will give me sex links. Has anybody ever done this do you have pictures? Any thoughts?

Also I'm not strong in the genetics lingo department. You may have to break out your Crayons...

Hello I am soon hatching chicks from my flock.. I have two olive eggers, one queen green , two Easter eggers , and two barred rock . All hens . My roo is a lavender Orpington. I'll let you know what happens with this mix. Excited to see !!

Sorry. Forgot to update! Now almost 8 weeks old. Solid black females and single barred males. The males look exactly like a barred rock female does. The females from these hatches are all black, dark legs , and some have some white patches under their beaks .
