Purple chicken poop?

On of my chickens pooed a purple color. Should i be worried?

this makes so much sense and i feel dense. They have been eating beets and purple cabbage. good to know its normal ish

A few of my chickens ate some pink flower petals and had the same issue.....only pink instead of purple. -does sound like yours got into some berries or something of the like.

we had elder berries growing and the chickens LOVED THEM! they pooed blue for quite a while. look for a berry bush that has blue/purple berries that are dropping on the ground where your chickens can get to them.

Don't feel bad at all. The first pink droppings I saw terrified me (until my 14-year-old pointed out that they'd been munching happily on the petals of the Impatiens). I had no idea that droppings could be colored.....

we have a big mulbery tree in our back yard and the whole ground colour while change to purple after a season

We always know the blackberries are ripe when the birds' poo turns purple.
I can't believe I just typed that sentence.
We are such hicks.

Oh my purple poo! That seems like it would be the right color for beets and cabbage!!!

I have found happy purple and blue pooies all over from the wild birds eating the berries!
I just hope for more raspberry bushes...
