PUT MY EGGS IN LOCKDOWN THIS MORNING. ANYONE ELSE DOING THE HATCH COUNTDOWN?

Tomorrow will be day 21 for us. this morning we had one pip on day 20 but nothing has happened since. I am getting a little worried but the egg rocks every now and then. I don't know how long to wait. This is my third attempt. The first attempt only 1 out of 12 hatched. on the second try none of ten. Hopefully three is a charm. Candled on days 7,14 and 18 had normal looking eggs at that point. Now just the one piped early. I am very nervous and the suspense is killing me. I have 10 in this time but I do not hear cheeping. I will be so disappointed if it doesn't work again. I might have to give up on incubating. I hope not.

Don't give up hope Chick Flick, it's only day 20 and I have read babies hatching as late as day 23. I'm sure everything will be fine. Please keep us all posted.

Had two more hatch out overnight, so that makes my total 8 now. I still have 3 eggs left in the bator. One i'm almost 100% sure that it isnt alive. I think it must have died a few weeks ago. It has some dark spots in inside so I didnt remove it from the bator last time I candled. Of the other two eggs left I can hear cheeping in one more sure. Not sure about #10 though. At this point if I didnt get anymore I would be thrilled with the hatch I've had. I mean I set 15 eggs took out 4 on day 17 that I knew were infertile. I left one that I had serious doubts about so I can pretty much count it out. Going home at lunch to check on them maybe the other 2 hopfulls will have made a move by then.

Today is day 22 for me chick flick. I still have some hatching as well. So it's not always an exact 21 days. I think I had my day count off a little also. I set my eggs around 9:00 PM on the 12th. So I was counting from the 12th. Which I know is a mistake. So it made my "hatch day" a little different than I was expecting (about a day later). Hopefully you will have sucess this time. I know it's frustrating to wait 3 weeks with little to no results. Trust me a lot of us have been there. But dont give up. Maybe one little thing is off. My first attempt I had my bator in a storage building than wasnt heated or cooled with very little insulation. This was late February so as you can imagine the temps were all over the place very much effecting my incubator temps. I think my eggs just died because of that. This attempt I moved them into the house in my closet floor. It worked great!

Is the one pip from yesterday still alive? If so..... I did help one of mine lastnight. It had been pip for like 24 hours with no other activity. I could see it's little beak sticking out the egg and it was wiggling around and cheeping. So I really felt like it was stuck. So I took it out and just helped crack the egg a little further along from where the pip started. I did this and went to bed lastnight and this morning it was out. I wouldnt try to remove too much of the shell if I where you but maybe you could try and crack it a little like I did to help, if you feel like it's stuck or something. I just used my fingernail to make some more cracks kind of around the egg just to make it earier for it push the top off. Good luck!

I love her....she's so beautiful....Post a pic when she is fluffy. I have one more pip and one left with nothing yet for the sex links but today is only day 21 so i'm hopeful that they will both hatch. I'll post pics when I get home tonight.

I gave my broody eggs and she didn't hatch until day 22 so I would still be hopeful they will hatch.
