PVC feeder modifications

Well........ There is nothing to show inside unless you want to see the inside of a 3" pipe?
There are no working parts, it's a gravity feeder. You fill the tube with pellets and the chicken sticks it's head in the opening of the "T" and eats.
 
my guess would be a flat strip on the inside that is held vertical by the surrounding pressure of the feed. When the feed drops below the strip the weighted outer flag falls. When you fill up the tube the inside strip is forced by the feed to go vertical.

So the feed level video isn't yours?
They said something about a flap down low but didn't show how it worked.
 
No the video is not mine. I'm trying a low feed alert concept as soon as mine gets low on feed using a wire coat hanger and a weighted "flag". If it works ill post interior and exterior pictures
 
Actually I check my girls frequently every day and as easy as it is to remove the top cap and look I'm not sure there is a real need for a low feed alert
