Alrighty, today was the end of week 1 for egg C! It should have lost 14 grams, and has lost 14.6, so just a smidgen too much. Egg A is continuing to lose too much weight even in the Emubator, unfortunately. The other two eggs are progressing normally.
.6 is within limits tho right? Crossing fingers for all the eggs :jumpy

Yep, it's fine :) I'll shoot to keep the humidity slightly higher next week to make up for it.

What I don't like is that there was a random temp spike for I don't know how long last night. Found the incubator sitting at 98.9. Now, I don't think that would kill them, but I'd prefer it didn't happen, lol.

I adjusted some controls on the incubator to hopefully keep that from happening again, namely the setting that tells it when to start tapering off on the power to keep the temperature from going too high.

@Pyxis at this point you sure you don't want to consider putting some tape on your egg? Just some on the sides in smaller pieces so baby can still break out if it's alive. I have talked to a couple people whom have never had an issue. Worth trying if it's been done successfully.

I tend to agree. I don't think a few random pieces would hurt to block a few pores.

Although....I wonder if there would be something else, like maybe Vaseline or some such, that could do the trick? Some type of safe paint/paste? Hmm.
