I'd put a hook on the wall of their coop with a chain that attaches to the bucket, you can move the links of the chain up as they grow.I wonder if a dog feeder like this would work for them? You can attach it to the wall and raise it as they grow. https://www.houzz.com/product/87477...63jrnsU-2lIB-A9DHluLobTXh1vqXLwBoCdcQQAvD_BwE
I'm sure she does something like that already. I was just wondering since the chickens can likely hop onto the bucket and snack freely if the dog feeder would workI'd put a hook on the wall of their coop with a chain that attaches to the bucket, you can move the links of the chain up as they grow.
I've heard of "bird proof" rubber flaps to put over horse buckets to keep birds out of the feed. I think an emu would be able to nose the flap up to eat like a horse would.I'm sure she does something like that already. Well if they could do that they could definitely push in the plastic flap on a dog feeder. I think I might try one of these for geese that I will hopefully be getting first of the year.I've heard of "bird proof" rubber flaps to put over horse buckets to keep birds out of the feed.
