Pyxis inspired me and I'm attempting Emu eggs!

First off, @Pyxis I am fallowing your lead, lol. I have a friend who wants emus so we are gonna try 3 eggs in and incuview incubator. First egg came in the mail this morning, weighing in at 524g. Will put it in tonight after 6 hours of rest and coming to room temp. Two more are coming Wednesday. Am incubating at 97 degrees for hopefully a 50-52 day incubation period. Will post weekly updates of weight and what not.

So we are still messing with the incubator. This humidity thing is hard. It was way low and the egg lost 2g so added a small slightly damp sponge. Brought the humidity up to 44% which is too high but thinking it will slowly dry out and maybe make the egg lose a little less in the next 24 to even it out. Have two eggs arriving tomorrow to put in and then wait and see for the next 50 days. Ahhh!!!

Haha, yeah it's gonna be a long wait. Will be worth it if we get babies. If not, try again and try to do better.

Egg number 2 came today! Weighed in at 541g. Still waiting for egg number 3.
