Quack-shack

We’ve had so much rain here in the DFW area of Texas that I haven’t done too much. Finally got some sun today, so I finished the paint on the door and scales. Now it really matches my house.
I still haven’t made the steps for the pond because I’m going to change it out.
Anyhow...
I need to mow also, but the ground is still too soft.

Well I changed the old pond out for something less deep but longer and added steps instead of a ramp. This was changed about two weeks ago. They would drink out of the pond but never get into it. But just a while ago one of the females made the journey into the pond. She got in, splashed around, jumped out, chased the other ducks on her way to jump back into the pond. It’s so funny to watch the other ducks freak out as the female runner jumps in and out. I think it’s blowing their little minds. Enjoyment factor was obviously increased to level ten today. The funny thing is that it’s a female that is in the pond and not my drake. He has always been the most bold out of the four. I don’t have a video unfortunately of this event as I was watching this from my bathtub upstairs. But, here is a picture of the new pond I took earlier.
