I have two female coturnix quails. They were good friends and they were always next to each other until yesterday. One of them started to act really weird, she suddenly attacked the other one and now she's screaming at her as well. She is also losing feathers and panting all the time, which is unusual for me. The other quail is really scared of her, she looks shocked at times and is not moving around like she used to. This is really stressful for her. Everything was alright two days ago (except for feather loss and panting). What should I do to stop this?

Is the panting labored? Or is she taking really shallow, quick breaths? It may be a respiratory infection; or is the area you have the quail in particularly warm? Might be overheated.
