I currently have two quail chicks, about 1.5 weeks old with air sacs near the base of the neck and the shoulder, filled partially with some kind of fluid and air. I noticed it about a week ago, and I haven't touched them. They seem healthy as they're eating and drinking very well, but the sacs have not gotten any smaller. Should I wait a few more days or should I try to treat them?
Thanks

Is the sac on the same side for both chicks? You may be seeing their crops, a part of the digestive tract that chicks absolutely pack with food as they eat.

Can you post a picture?

Yes both on the right. I have attached a photo of the sac, and it seems to be filled with liquid (water?).

Oh I see, on their back! I'm not sure if that's normal anatomy or not—I'm pretty sure I've never seen it on my own chicks. I hope someone who's knows can chime in with advice. Until then, probably good not to mess with them in case they are normal or self-resolving. Best of luck!
