Quail Egg Incubation Help

I'm getting quail eggs soon. My incubator constantly stays between 98-100F is this good? Or does it need to be more precise?

If it could stay at 99.5 that would be best. Varying temperatures is not good.

it keeps going up and down very fast. I have a thermostat which keeps it between 100 and 98 all the time but i honestly have no clue at this point

Maybe you should get a different incubator. That’s not good

Do you have a calibrated thermometer in your incubator?

You cannot trust the built-in incubator thermometers You must buy a separate one and calibrate it.

i DIYed it. I found the issue was the plastic was not insulating enough.
