Quail pen idea...

I wonder if this idea would work for rabbit also, or would they chew through the plastic

I was thinking the same thing when I came up with the idea. I think that if it's built such that there are no edges for them to get to, then it should work. It's all about how the ends are made as they wont be able to chew the rounded surface from inside..
I think too that the bottom wire would need to be supported in the middle for heavier breeds..

I would make I nice shady pen in the summer, for rabbits, those white barrels should stay pretty cool inside.

Cut the barrels in half and put wire on the bottom. they would make good quail/rabbit/chicken tractors.

Don't know if it makes a differnce anyone, but i keep my quail in pends of 1 male 4 female in 2'x3' and 2 foot tall, now height sounds big but they like to jump. Keep in mind I raise Jumbo Coturnix. The pends are 4 feet off ground and i just sweep up poop

SON of a B@$^#.. stole my idea.. LOL

Mine will be nicer ...He has some pretty good ideas there, though. I like the nesting box bucket and how he joined 2 of them to make 1 large cage. Pretty thoughtful.. Thanks for posting!

He replied back and said he had them in there for about month and they haven't yet.
