Quality Marans?

Here are some pics of French Wheaten Marans. Keep in mind this is not them looking their best. Could you please tell me if they are good quality or just some average stock?

This is one of the eggs (front) with an Australorp (left) and Ancona egg(right). This is not the darkest egg she's had they have just gone off season (so eggs lighten) they usually lay 6+.

They actually look like very poor examples of the variety. The color on the roo and both females is wrong, not to mention their type...

Are these your birds? If so I wouldn't suggest breeding them. You can find much nicer birds pretty easily.

ahh this is what I was afraid of, These are not my birds but I have just (today) bought two 12 week old pullets (daughters to this roo). They are supposed to lay 6+. These are Australian so the standard maybe different, they are rare over here and sell for a lot.
