Queen Victoria wont eat or drink

First off, she wouldn't lay eggs if she is sick. And maybe start with the basics first. Have you had a fecal test done to see if she has worms? Have you ever dewormed her? If not, that's a good place to start. Have you tried tempting her with goodies like applesauce mixed in crumbles, , bread crumbs soaked in buttermilk, minced grapes, scrambled eggs, to try and get her to eat? Or even red jello. Anything, especially something to get some fluids into her. Worms would keep her from eating or drinking. Her vent being red might just be irritation from having diarrhea, possibly.
She will not eat or drink on her own, no matter what I try. Blueberries are her favorite treat, and I offered one and she wouldn't take it. She loves eggs but she wont eat that. I can only get her to drink water if I use a dropper and drip it at the side of her beak.

I did save the very small amount of poo she left me this evening in a baggie to bring to the veterinarian, if she ever calls me back.

Thanks so much for your response. Trying everything here. And waiting, waiting, waiting for the doctor!!!

Working backwards here I did see the poop pic and it does look weird...almost like maybe there's blood in her droppings that has turned black, but I don't know. Still, I always start with a fecal float. It's not expensive and any vet should do it for you, they don't have to be a bird vet. It's bad when you can't get them to eat. You could try tube feeding or just dribbling a little water in the side of her beak. Tube feeding works to fill the crop but personally I feel it is stressful for the bird.

I read the whole thread, but need to cook dinner and start a fire before I can reply properly.
I understand. :) Thanks for taking the time. Hoping to hear from the veterinarian first thing in the morning.

Not eating, not drinking, losing weight, funny poop, and panting, all of this makes me suspicious of an infection. Hopefully your vet will call you back in the morning.
Thanks. I'm calling her again as soon as they open.
