Dr do little I read another one of your post in another hatch-a-long thread
I thought u would find this quicker here
you asked should I take the baby chix in the house or leave them w/ the broody
That is completely up to you BUT
I would consider the future plans! do u wanna add these babies to your existing flock or start them in a new flock of their own??
If u take the babies out after they hatch it is possible that when you go to reintroduce them to the existing flock they won't be accepted by the bigger hens
Where as if you leave them with your broody she will do her best to protect them. and they are already in the flock
my aunt has on baby with her broody and about 20 other hens and that baby is now 2 weeks old!
My broody is in a plastic crate on the floor under the nesting box and she is tickled pink there and with the box on floor the babies won't fall and get hurt or sumthin terrible.
that is my suggestion if u must put them in with your existing flock why not leave them there?! hope this help you!!
